PAD – Peripheral Artery Disease is the narrowing of peripheral arteries due to atherosclerosis (plaque buildup in arterial walls) decreasing blood flow to the feet, legs, and toes. If left untreated, PAD complications include critical limb ischemia, gangrene, and can even lead to amputation.
